My (very thin) cousin says that “motto” all the time. I tell her that she’s probably never had really good BBQ.

I think that my cousin says it to make herself feel better… to convince herself that ordering a side salad and dry baked potato at a restaurant is truly making her happy. Maybe it is? I don’t know. All I know is that she’s 61 and spent the majority of her life obsessed with that motto, and I refuse to spend the next 40 years counting calories…

I have no idea what Kate is talking about, though…

First – I would ask her, if her cocaine had calories would she feel the same?
Second – As a skinny girl I’d say plenty of things taste good enough to be worth a few pounds, perhaps she needs to try more than bland British food.

She has never tried BF’s cooking, that is for damn sure.

And skinny CAN mean healthy eating and being slim, but in her case, I highly doubt it

Girl is skin and bones.

I think #1 is the most apt: she’s daft.

I have friends that have this statement as their signatures in emails and on message boards. They are usually dieters, and supposedly use the phrase for motivation. I thought it was gross the first time I heard it, but I have low tolerance for that sort of thing LOL.

I would guess people have suggested that to her as a motivator, and she is indicating it doesn’t work for her …strange thing to pick though eh? Instead of something about hard work pays off, or some such other motto that would make sense for he hectic work life.

All I have to say is that if nothing tastes as good as skinny feels, she's gotta be surrounded by some pretty crappy cooks. and personally, I would probably feel pretty crappy at her stage of skinny. Skinnier =/= healthier OR feeling better. .-= Michelle´s last blog ..Rene Geneva Designs =-.

Skinny can often mean healthy. NOT always, but often a slimmer waistline means a healthier body. Nothing taste as good as skinny feels because, though that enchilada may taste way better than a salad with lean protein thrown on top, the healthier option makes your body feel well.

To hell if that’s how she meant it, that’s how I view it.
